As Is Inventory Disposition Planner

Business Unit Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Manager US Returns Inventory Management, the As Is Inventory Disposition Planner 2 (ID planner) is the Senior Role responsible for maximizing the sales and gross margin on the As Is Meta and for managing the As Is inventory to budgeted levels. 

Working closely with the Manager US Returns Inventory Management, Inventory Control, Distribution and Information Services, evaluate and implement new product for the Meta. The ID Planner 2 will be responsible for setting the direction for maximizing individual sku performance and creating pricing strategies to drive sales.  Develops and implements creative approaches to enhance the product and presentation of items on the Meta.  The ID Planner 2 will also be accountable for minimizing the overall age of the As Is inventory, ensuring sell through on the site by analyzing sales at current price/offer, or arranging for liquidation via a lower recovery Channel, always with customer focus in mind.

The ID Planner 2 partners with the Ecommerce and Merchandise Planning teams to ensure that As Is items are included in selected off air promotions, and with Affiliate Marketing to ensure that QXH As Is product is featured via external marketing channels. Travels and works closely with the Fulfillment Centers to train and coach the As Is processors.

  • Manages the As Is Meta while serving as the point person.
  • Partners with Manager US Returns Inventory Management to strategize item opportunities for sales and recovery growth. Works closely with Inventory Control and Distribution Managers to ensure product is secured, pulled, processed and converted to As Is for PPA status.
  • Prepares Kill reports from the Access database for item selection and distributes to sites.
  • Creates new skns utilizing IBM/Retek and Source History for the As Is Meta.
  • Composes and distributes New As Is skns list for Imaging, Editing, and Pack Recipes to all pertinent departments as needed. Ensures completion.
  • Determines initial pricing for the As Is skns. 
  • Monitors the inventory levels and analyzes slow selling skns to determine new pricing based on Rate of Sale and quantity. Moves slow selling and aged inventory to Kill status, Retail stores or Outside Sales on a monthly basis.
  • Reviews the As Is Price Comparison report daily and revises the pricing for As Is skns priced higher than or equal to the Original Skn  
  • Analyzes the As Is Cost Adjustment report twice per month. Reports discrepancies to Finance and makes recommendations for updating cost and pricing.
  • Prepares and analyzes As Is sales identify trends using Access databases and Microstrategy
  • Sets the As Is home page weekly with relevant product. Selects items to feature on the carousel.
  • Partners with Ecommerce and Merchandise Planning for Special Pricing events and Easy Pay Promotions
  • Meet with Affiliate Marketing monthly to discuss and implement promotions
  • Communicates and distributes As Is Sales and Gross Margins reports and information to management on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Provides input on Annual Budget planning process for As Is.
  • Creates additional ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point and also possess the basics of Access and MicroStrategy
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form to all levels of the organization
  • Must possess interpersonal skills that will contribute to creation and maintenance of internal relationships
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Retail Sales/Merchandising, Accounting, or similar field of study
  • Minimum of 3 years in retail merchandising, buying, retail inventory analysis, purchasing, or planning position
