Supply Chain Project Specialist

A Day in the Life:    


The Project Specialist contributes to the plan, management and implementation of new Partners on-boarding with HSN and/or projects development for specialized HSN Drop Ship programs.  The incumbent will be the SME supporting all Drop Ship On-board processes, specialized programs implementations, and programs compliance management.  This includes coordination of internal and external resources, communications, documentation, project tracking, and status reporting.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assesses and participates in the planning and execution of each individual Drop Ship Partners NPO and programs projects; follows implementation plans; communicates regularly with internal and external resources, provides problem identification and suggests appropriate resolution.  Coordinates and manages communications and tasks between teams.
  • Capture, review, assess and maintain documentation of Partner requirements and capabilities both at project inception and on a go forward basis.
  • Ensures smooth coordination and transition of projects both at the initial stage and project end to other SC Operations teams
  • Provide regular status updates on projects to manager
  • Obtain in-depth understanding of the HSN EDI certification process, data exchange transactions use and contents enabling the ability to support HSN partners and IT during certifications phases.
  • Manage, monitor  and reconcile partner utilization and compliance of Drop Ship partner programs
  • Contributes to the development of standards and procedures as related to Drop Ship NPO and programs; actively identifying opportunities for process improvements
  • Continuously build and maintain working relationships with HSN partners: both internally and externally
  • Contributes in the development of Partner specifications, cross-functional SOP’s, partner orientation, training, and certification support as necessary.

Must Haves:          

  • Excellence in communication; both verbal and written and must have the ability to effectively interact and present information to all levels the organization both internal and external.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships both internally and externally
  • Highly organized, detail oriented individual with demonstrated ability to multi task and follow up and follow through task completion
  • 2 years of progressively responsible and directly related work knowledge
  • Provide regular status updates on projects to manager
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and act upon multiple assignments
  • Self-starter, able to perform with minimal level of guidance and direction.
  • Knowledgeable with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access
  • Previous experience with Systems and business analysis
  • Previous experience with EDI, report writers and web enabled applications
  • Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service and collaboration with various business units
  • Ability to research and interpret relevant regulations, guidelines, and standards
  • Ability to solve problems and identify solutions
  • Ability to speak and write effectively at a level appropriate for the job and the audience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a work-related field/discipline
